6:45 P.M. UPDATE: Storms continue to progress across Middle Tennessee, with the heaviest activity impacting areas east of I-65. The last warning just expired, so all we have left are a few flooding issues affecting some areas. Overall, the storms are on a gradual downward trend.

Widespread storms have developed this afternoon, most notably over areas along and close to the Tennessee River. If you are caught underneath one of these cells, you can expect gusty winds, maybe some small hail, definitely a lot of lightning, and very heavy rainfall.

There is a HIGH risk of flash flooding across portions of south-central Texas today into Wednesday.A HIGH risk means that severe, widespread flash flooding is expected, and you may even see flooding in areas that don’t normally see it.

Smoke from the Summit Fire (LA County) is moving east into San Bernardino County. As winds shift later this evening, smoke will likely spread into the Mojave Desert. Monitor @SouthCoastAQMD for air quality info @SBCounty for evacuation info and @SBCOUNTYFIRE for fire info.
