On April 21, 1967, the Chicago area was in chaos following a catastrophic tornado outbreak that killed 58 people, injured more than a thousand, and caused millions in property damage. Ten tornadoes ravaged Northern Illinois from Belvidere to Oak Lawn. In part two of my look back 50 years, I have the stories of two Oak Lawn tornado survivors who were sixth graders getting ready for their confirmations.
