Berg River Dam
This weekend I visited the Berg River Dam outside Franschhoek, to see the water levels for myself. Currently, the dam sits at 38.1% capacity while the major dams feeding the city are at 20.9% (with the last 10% being virtually impossible to extract). While today’s rain is helpful, we are still in desperate need for consistent, heavy winter downpours to alleviate our drought. Keep saving water friends. Every drop counts! | Derek Van Dam
