Hell’s Half Acre in Fort Worth was the city’s wild red-light district of the late 1800s. Packed with saloons, gambling halls, and brothels, it catered to cowboys, drifters, and outlaws coming off the Chisholm Trail. Though notorious for crime and vice, it gave Fort Worth its rough-and-tumble frontier reputation before being cleaned up in the early 1900s.
