This past March, we performed the world première of Canadian composer (and New Creations Festival curator) Owen Pallett's Songs From An Island. A TSO commissioned piece, it is the first of four parts of a longer song cycle for singer and orchestra that follows a man's descent into hedonism and his subsequent spiritual awakening.
