Today we kicked off the week with our first event of #QuantumWeek2025, 'The First 100 Years', at the historic The Royal Institution. The day began with a welcome from IOP CEO Tom Grinyer, followed by a fascinating journey through the early history of quantum mechanics (1911–1926) with Professor Malcolm Longair (University of Cambridge). We then heard from Professor Helge Kragh (University of Copenhagen) on Dirac’s role in connecting quantum mechanics and relativity, and Professor Jim Al-Khalili
