Our French Navy Lockheed P2V7 "Neptune," saved from the wreckers on Tahiti and still going strong. It's quite a story of "Lost, Found and Restored" for our French Navy (Marine) 566 spotted all alone and neglected at Tahiti's Papeete International Airport back in the mid-1980's. Gifted to HARS by the French government, the legendary surveillance aircraft was restored by volunteers and flown across to Australia in 1989 and one of our first successful restorations.
