The NIC is 1Gbps capable. On Windows 10, network status is showing 1000/1000 Mbps link speed. I bought a brand new Cat-6 cable and it makes no difference.

Usually wifi is in the 100's though. I want to try having my laptop wired DIRECT to the modem to have consistent highest speed possible, and then also having a wifi network.

Ethernet devices should show up as all devices connected can show in the app. I have the same model and all my wired devices show, even the ones on my switch on port 2. If you have an ethernet switch it needs to be used on port 2 only.

It totally clobbers internet speed down to about 250Mb for <=1Gb devices connected over the 10Gb SFP+ port if you have >1Gb Internet, so I had to use 2 cables and do some silly things with VLANs to let the 2.5Gb and faster devices get full speed.
