Aug 11, 2022 · Auto HDR is broken currently in WoW Dragonflight with the AW3423DWF - hdr peak 1000 mode just makes text glowing bright white and it's so uncomfortable. No settings seem to fix it, only thing that improves the situation appears to be setting the monitor to 'Display HDR' mode instead at 400 nits.

Mar 16, 2023 · You need HDR toggled on to use native HDR games just leave it on. Your desktop will still display in SDR and SDR games will still be SDR. Leave Auto HDR on too if a game doesn’t have native HDR well alot of games on win 11 support auto hdr which is kinda like a fake HDR but it works pretty well. Auto HDR won’t override a native HDR game

Nov 6, 2021 · Auto HDR is to strip away the SDR conversion from games that don't have HDR for people with HDR displays. Most games to avoid gradient stair stepping have been written in HDR for many years and then converted to SDR as I understand it.

It tone maps HDR properly, the monitor will actually auto-detect the HDR and turn it on itself in games like Resident Evil remasters. So did you use DDU to remove the nvidia drivers?
