A woman was killed and five other people were hurt when gunfire erupted early Sunday at a large gathering in a Chicago neighborhood, according to police.

Two people were killed and another was wounded in a Pines Village shooting Sunday afternoon, according to the New Orleans Police Department. Police were called to the 5900 block of Boeing Street just after 2 p.m. A man and woman were declared dead on scene and another man was taken to a local hospital, police said.

A 22-year-old woman was killed and five people were injured in a mass shooting early Sunday on the city's West Side as two other shootings nearby left an 18-year-old man dead and two people injured, police said.
