Geomagnetic storm warning brings the possibility of northern lights this weekend
A geomagnetic storm watch has been issued through Saturday, June 14. Late Thursday evening, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration increased the warning to a higher severity, communicated as a strong G3 warning, for four hours, then dropped the status back down to a moderate G2 early Friday morning.
