As Rep. Nancy Mace prepared to speak, she took out a Bible and — as if she were in a courtroom, instead of on the House floor — she placed her right hand and swore to tell the “whole truth.”

Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina, in a nearly hour-long speech on the U.S. House floor Monday, accused her ex-fiancé of physically abusing her, recording sex acts with her and others without their consent, and conspiring with business associates in acts of rape and sexual misconduct.

S.C., alleged “some of the most heinous crimes against women imaginable” were committed by her ex-fiancé and three other men, all of whom denied the accusations.
