WASHINGTON (AP) — The University of Pennsylvania on Tuesday modified a trio of school records set by transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and said it would apologize to female athletes “disadvantaged” by her participation on the women’s swimming team, part of a resolution of a federal civil rights case.

The University of Pennsylvania will take actions regarding transgender athletes as a result of a Title IX agreement with the Department of Education.

UPenn updated its record books following an investigation into Title IX violations, but Lia Thomas' records were still noted on the school's website.
