Whether you voted in-person early, on Election Day or by mail, here’s how to check whether your vote has been counted.

As of Friday, more than 4 million, or 51%, of North Carolina's registered voters had already cast ballots by mail or in-person during the early voting period, which ends Saturday, Nov. 2 at 3 p.m.

Today is Election Day, with polls opening at 6:30 a.m. and closing at 7:30 p.m. Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. should be allowed to vote, the State Board of Elections says. The busiest times are usually early morning and just before polls close, the state says.
