The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported Thursday that United bid $87 million up front and close to $7 million in add ons to Brentford for Mbeumo, and Sky Sports are among those sayin g the bid's been accepted and the Cameroon international is set for a medical.

Mbeumo joined United on Monday from Brentford in a deal worth in excess of £70 million ($94m), and despite scoring 20 goals in the Premier League last season, the forward said he can do even better at United.

Manchester United are in desperate need of reinforcements across the pitch this summer despite already spending more than £130 million.
