Cheese sold at Wegmans stores across the Northeast is being recalled due to potential listeria contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The affected items were sold between July 1 and Aug.

The recall, which affects stores in nine states and Washington D.C., comes less than a month after Wegmans opened its first Connecticut location.

Wegmans is recalling its Medium Camembert Soft Ripened Cheese, as well as products that contain it, that were sold at stores across 10 U.S. states, including Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, due to a potential listeria contamination.
