Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has tried to downplay being on the brink of breaking Bob Knight’s record for Big Ten wins.

Tom Izzo knows that there’s a difference between tying history and making it. After tying the all-time wins record in the Big Ten held by Indiana’s Bob Knight this weekend, Izzo was asked about the milestone again during his press conference on Monday.

It was the second loss in Big Ten play for Michigan State, and a season-defining win for UCLA, as the Bruins took down the Spartans on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. After the game, UCLA head coach Mick Cronin talked about the win, and then had some very interesting comments on how relationship with Tom Izzo, who he spoke extremely highly of.
