Tennessee is the only school to appear in all 43 women's basketball NCAA Tournaments since its inception in 1982. The Lady Vols have won eight national championships in 1987, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2007 and 2008. All eight national titles were under head coach Pat Summitt.
