The Marlins acquired Sanchez, 27, and pitcher Ryan Stanek from Tampa in 2019 in exchange for Nick Anderson and Trevor Richards. Sanchez, who is earning $4.5 million this season, made his big-league debut in August 2020 and hit .243 (.310 on base) with 69 homers and 226 RBI in 532 games over parts of six seasons.

With just a few hours left before the MLB trade deadline is officially here, the Miami Marlins still haven’t made too many moves, especially with them viewed as one of the marquee sellers. However, that could all change soon.
