According to a report from the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office obtained by People magazine, the TV star died from lung metastasis, as a result of head and neck cancer. The death was ruled natural, and McMahon has since been cremated, the report adds.

An official cause of death has been released just days after the 'Nip/Tuck' actor's wife revealed he died early this month following a private battle with cancer.

McMahon, who starred in Fantastic Four, Nip/Tuck, and Charmed, had been privately battling cancer before his passing.
