The Eagles ' chances for playing on Christmas Day just increased as FOX Sports announced on May 12 that the Birds will be part of a Saturday doubleheader. The Eagles will play the Commanders at Northwest Stadium in Landover,

The Commanders acquired the five time pro bowl left tackle from the Houston Texans in exchange for multiple draft picks, with their 2025 third and seventh round selections, plus a 2026 second and fourth rounder going to the Texans. Washington also received a 2025 fourth round pick.

The Eagles and Commanders met twice during the regular season last year. Philadelphia took the first matchup, 26-18 and Washington took the second in a come-from-behind victory, 36-33. The Eagles got their revenge in the NFC Championship with a dominant 55-23 win to advance to the Super Bowl in which they would also be victorious.

Schedule leaks have pinned down dates and times for six of the Eagles' games so far. Information about the Steelers and Ravens has been harder to come by.

The Commanders are expected to have several prime-time games in 2025. We took a stab at predicting which games would be in prime time. Of the two announced games, the Washington-Philadelphia game is on a Saturday and is a prime candidate to be played under the lights.
