Meta Platforms, Tesla and most other U.S. stocks are rising Thursday following a rush of profit reports from some of the country’s most influential companies.

Federal Reserve officials held interest rates steady, pausing to assess the inflation outlook following a string of rate reductions last year.

The Federal Reserve left its benchmark interest rate unchanged Wednesday after cutting it three times in a row last year, a sign of a more cautious approach as the Fed seeks to gauge where inflation is headed and what policies President Donald Trump may pursue.
