Since the House won't be back in session until Monday, there will be a brief government shutdown this weekend.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Friday that he is nominating Kevin Warsh, a former Federal Reserve governor, to be the next U.S. central bank chief.

Carney said in a social media post that Warsh is “a fantastic choice to lead the world’s most important central bank at this crucial time.”
