GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A special election is being held in some West Michigan communities on Tuesday, May 6. Not everyone will have something on their ballot and some ballots may only have one item to vote on. Voters will mostly be deciding on millage and bond proposals for school districts and other organizations in their precinct.

The first election of the year is nearly here - and dozens of municipalities have something on the ballot around metro Detroit.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — There's just under two weeks until Michiganders return to the polls for the Great Lakes State's May election.
