Austin FC will be looking for another new designated player after selling Sebastián Driussi to Argentinean club River Plate.
Driussi joined Austin FC in July 2021 and made his debut that August. He is the club's all-time leading scorer, having tallied 45 goals in 106 appearances.

However, Driussi struggled to match that level of production in the following two seasons, scoring just 11 and seven goals, respectively, in those campaigns while often serving as Austin FC captain.
