Revise how to plot a linear equation graph. Learn how to read x and y coordinates from a graph in this BBC Bitesize maths KS3 guide.
Learn and revise how to plot coordinates and create straight line graphs to show the relationship between two variables with GCSE Bitesize Edexcel Maths.
Figure 1a. Graph for y = 3x + 4. Figure 1b. Graph for y = 2x 2 - 3x + 4. Figure 1c. Graph for y = 0.6x 3 + 2x 2 - 3x + 4. In school I also had the x- and y-axes represent something, such as age ...
I hate to say this, but it's important. I find that some students make x-y graphs in their math classes and never realize that it doesn't have to actually be x and y.
Now make a graph. Be sure it is an "x-y scatter" and not "line" - see how good Open Office is? They even use the dumb names that Excel uses for types of graphs. Only plot the X and Y values.
