Amazon.com announced plans to invest $10 billion in North Carolina data center infrastructure to support AI and cloud computing technologies.

The new high-skilled jobs will range from data center engineers and network specialists, to engineering operations managers, security specialists, and many more technical roles, according to Amazon.

Amazon plans to invest $20 billion to establish multiple high-tech cloud computing and AI innovation campuses across Pennsylvania, with one of the first to be built in Salem Twp.

The project will be Amazon's third data center campus in rural Louisa County near Richmond.
