Sonia Bompastor has claimed that the gap between Chelsea and Barcelona is not 'that big' despite their humbling 8-2 Women's Champions League defeat.

Chelsea were beaten 4-1 once again by Barcelona, with the Catalan club winning 8-2 on aggregate; the Blues are still favourites to complete a domestic treble but Sonia Bompastor says that would be a good season,

They exited the competition with a whimper at Stamford Bridge. Up against it from kick-off as they faced a three-goal deficit from the first leg, Chelsea shipped a further four goals to close a promising campaign on a miserable note, Wieke Kaptein’s injury-time effort providing scant consolation.
