ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is dead and 11 others are injured after a shooting in Elkhart early Sunday morning. Officers were called just after 1 a.m. to the 300 block of W. Garfield Avenue on a shots fired report. They quickly learned a dozen people had been shot, and one of them died from his injuries.
Officials say Vance Luther Boelter surrendered to police in a wooded area near his home. He faces multiple charges in a targeted attack on lawmakers.
