The 61st Cinema Audio Society Awards handed its marquee Live Action Motion Picture prize to A Complete Unknown during Saturday night’s ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. That makes James Mangold’s film the front-runner for Best Sound at the Oscars next month.

Also at the show, sound mixer Tod A. Maitland, a seven-time CAS nominee who was among the winning team from “A Complete Unknown” and was also nominated for TV’s “Fallout,” received the 2024 Career Achievement Award.
