A brewing storm is expected to primarily be a rainmaker, though some snow is possible along its northern edges.
Heavy snow and blustery winds are expected to hit parts of the U.S. from Wednesday through to Thursday evening—and in some cases into Friday morning—which, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), could bring up to 24 inches of snow to certain areas.
A cooler and mostly cloudy Wednesday is ahead. Highs will top out in the low to mid 40s across central and eastern Montana. Winds will be breezy in eastern Montana, with gusts up to 30 mph.
