On Tuesday, the National Park Service stated that the cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin had reached Stage 1 (green buds) on their way to peak bloom.

Peak bloom is slowly but surely growing nearer and nearer in the District. On Monday, the National Park Service (NPS) announced that the cherry trees were officially in stage one of six on their way to peak bloom.

The National Park Service announced its experts predict cherry blossoms will be in peak bloom from March 28 to March 31. Storm Team4 meteorologist Amelia Draper agrees that the last week of March is the best time to plan your trip to the blossoms.
