New York City received a light dusting of snow overnight Sunday into Monday morning, with 1-2 inches falling across the five boroughs. Bellerose, Queens, led the city with 2.1 inches of snowfall, according to the National Weather Service. About 1.4 inches of snow fell at John F. Kennedy Airport.
While not expected to pack quite the punch as the last round, it will still bring a few inches of plowable snow as well as "very cold" wind chills.
By the time the sun comes up Saturday morning, precipitation should be out of the area. Saturday is shaping up to be a mostly sunny day with highs in the low 40s, and Sunday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees.
The heaviest snowfall in central Pennsylvania is expected between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday. At times, snow could fall at a rate of about an inch per hour. By 1 p.m. Sunday, the forecast calls for another 5 inches, for a total of 9, to accumulate in central Pennsylvania.
