It's Mario's big day, and Nintendo's plumber is getting a new Lego set with quite a few pieces in the box. Lego has revealed a new Mario Kart Lego set today, March 10, with almost 2,000 pieces and an "18+" age recommendation,

The world celebrated Mario Day on March 10, and to mark the moment toy maker LEGO released the Mario & Standard Kart Set.

Lego's next Nintendo set is a massive Mario Kart that's made up of almost 2,000 pieces. The set hasn't officially been revealed but a retailer's listing has gone live a little early. Nintendo and Lego will likely make an official reveal later today to celebrate Mario Day.

Nintendo just revealed a nearly 2,000 piece Mario Kart Lego set that brings Mario and his iconic kart right into your living room.

Despite that beefy price and naughty age rating, the set looks really rather strong. It's one of the more detailed takes on both Mario and his kart that we have seen from an official LEGO build so far, and the posable limbs and stand seem to make for a pretty dynamic-looking display piece.

A new LEGO Mario Kart set featuring Mario and his Standard Kart is available for preorder with an expected release in mid-May.

Lego has announced a new addition to its Mario Kart collection that first debuted last August. But don’t expect Lego’s latest Super Mario set to fit in with the rest of the racers. At 12.5 inches long and 8.5 inches tall, this set, featuring Mario in his standard racing kart from the game, is Lego’s largest Mario Kart build to date.
