Two Connecticut Lottery players each won prizes worth $50,000 from two different scratch-off games. A player from North Branford claimed their $50,000 prize on Jan. 27 after purchasing a $50,000 Cashword 2nd Edition scratch-off ticket worth $5 from Branford Quick Mart, according to Connecticut Lottery.

A winning $50,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold in CT for the Tuesday, Jan. 27 drawing, according to the CT Lottery.

The winner is a Branford man who used the Quick Pick option with the Power Play add-on to select his numbers. He says his dog Hank is his good luck charm.

A Fairfield man is a new millionaire after a last-minute decision at a local convenience store turned an ordinary CT Lottery stop into a $1 million jackpot. "I just went numb," the unnamed winner said after realizing the size of the win.

A top CT Lottery prize has been won out of Manchester.
