The Spanish Super Cup final will see Real Madrid take on Barcelona in a Clásico to decide the victors of the trophy for 2026. Coach Xabi Alonso's team news is here.

Valverde’s goal took all of 76 seconds, the earliest goal in the Supercopa this century. The previous record was held by Maria Mandzukic, who scored 82 seconds in for Atletico in Alonso’s final game as a player for Madrid in August 2014. The goal was also the fourth-earliest Madrid strike against Atletico in the 21st century.

Legends from La Liga rivals FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will face off in a match on Feb. 22. The unique showdown will take place at BMO Stadium, regular home to Los Angeles FC of MLS and Angel City FC of the NWSL and host venue for flag football and lacrosse during the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Holders Barcelona will visit Racing Santander, while Real Madrid travel to Albacete, in next week's Copa del Rey last 16.
