Fashion mogul Ford will direct, produce and write the film an adaptation of Anne Rice's 1982 novel of the same name. The fictional story about two men − a Venetian noble and a castrated opera singer − is set in 18th-century Italy. The film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome. A film release is planned for fall 2026.
