Penn has agreed to ban trans women from women's sports, resolving a civil rights case that centered around swimmer Lia Thomas, the Department of Education said Tuesday.

The agreement requires the university to follow Title IX as interpreted by the Department of Education and adopt Trump's executive order defining sex as biological.

In a deal with the Trump administration, the University of Pennsylvania will not allow transgender women to participate in women’s sports.
