Nationally-ranked Duncanville takes on Allen in the UIL 6A Division I semifinals on Saturday at Mesquite Memorial Stadium in Mesquite, Texas.

The school’s enrollment continues to shrink, dropping from 2,127 for the current alignment to 1,932, according to snapshot numbers the UIL released Tuesday. DeSoto fell below the 6A cutoff line two years ago — which was 2,275 and above — but the UIL approved the school’s appeal to remain in 6A instead of dropping to 5A.

The Dragons, who played in last season’s 6A DII title game, come in with a perfect 14-0 record. All 14 wins have come by double digits, with the closest margin of victory 18 points, when the Dragons prevailed 49-31 against Prosper two weeks ago in the regional semifinals.
