UofL was placed in the South Region, and their first and second round games will be played at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. They're matched up against No. 1 Auburn vs. No. 16 Alabama State/St. Francis, with the top four teams in the region being Auburn, Iowa State, Michigan State and Texas A&M.

Louisville basketball will play its first NCAA Tournament game since 2019 in Lexington, but fans aren't happy about the Cardinals' seeding.

Louisville has been selected as a 8-seed in the South Region of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The Cardinals will play 9-seed Creighton in the Round of 64 in Lexington on Thursday, March 20. This is the program’s first appearance in the tournament since 2019.
