Merrill said she was forced out of her job over unfounded allegations of racial bias, while her own complaint accusing a colleague of inappropriate behavior was ignored.

Former WBZ anchor Kate Merrill is suing the Boston station, CBS, its parent company Paramount, and four former co-workers alleging racial and gender discrimination. Merrill started working at the CBS owned station in 2004 as a reporter. She abruptly left WBZ in 2024.
