The discount retailer says it was alerted to the potential problem from a customer. Here's what to know and where it was sold.

Dollar General is recalling its 8-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee because it potentially contains fragments of glass, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The coffee was sold in 47 states and Puerto Rico between July 9 and July 21. Dollar General didn't say how many containers were included in the three lots of coffee that were distributed, or how many were sold before the recall went out.
