Surveillance video shows people running out of a Chick-fil-A after police said an off-duty officer shot and killed a man chasing two people with a knife.

The video from a neighboring business’s external security camera shows two people running into the Chick-fil-A at about 5:26 p.m.

A man armed with a knife was shot and killed by an off-duty officer inside a Chick-fil-A in Copley Square on Saturday.

The incident occurred around 5:27 p.m. when two individuals ran into the crowded Back Bay restaurant, attempting to escape a man wielding a knife.

Video from a surveillance camera next door to the restaurant showed employees and customers running from the restaurant. Three minutes later, the video showed first responders arriving at the location.
