A federal appeals court late Thursday paused a ruling that required President Donald Trump to return control of members of California’s National Guard to the state.
U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said he was hopeful that he could release a ruling later Thursday on whether President Donald Trump acted legally when he sent thousands of National Guard troops and Marines to Los Angeles to combat protests of federal immigration raids.
