With his first crown jewel victory in the NASCAR Cup Series, Bubba Wallace locked into the 2025 playoffs by winning the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

His second family, other Cup drivers, also embraced Wallace following the biggest victory of his career. By becoming the first Black driver to win a major race on Indianapolis Motor Speedway's historic 2.5-mile oval, Wallace also locked up his second playoff appearance.

With a little less than two dozen laps remaining in the Brickyard 400, Joey Logano blew a tire and Bubba Wallace took over as the race leader. It was a long way away from the finish line, though.
