There are no stairs or cardiac climbs involved with this beautiful walk along the shore line of Lake Superior through the woods back to the parking lot. Full review by GayeS545

The trail parallels Highway 61 which is the primary travel corridor along the lake and has many hotels, motels, B&B's along the way. If planned properly, it is possible to hike from location to location. The farther north you move along the shore selection gets limited.
The Superior Hiking Trail is on my list of possibilities to hike next summer. My concern is that I have heard that you are never really out of ear shot from traffic noises. While hiking the SHT do you feel that you have enough solitude from civilization noises?
